He was until 2005 the Company Secretary and Legal Adviser of Nigerian Breweries Plc, a position he held for 24 years.
He started his career with Bendel Insurance Company Limited, Benin City, as Assistant Company Secretary, from where he proceeded to England for further studies. He obtained an MBA (with specialization in Financial Management and Operational Research) from University of Aston in Birmingham, England in 1980, and joined Nigerian Breweries Plc in 1981 as Company Secretary.
He holds LL.B Degree from University of Lagos (1989) and was called to the Bar (BL) by the Council of Legal Education in Nigeria in 1990. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (ACS) and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (FCIS).
Mr. Ogbebor has been closely connected with the growth and development of the Nigerian Capital Market. He has operated in the Market for more than two decades.
He had a distinguished career with Nigerian Breweries Plc from where he retired after 24 years of meritorious service. During his service in Nigerian Breweries Plc, Mr. Ogbebor as the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser led the team that won The Nigerian Stock Exchange President’s Annual Merit Award for Good Corporate Governance fifteen (15) times. Central role in the acquisition of Diamond Breweries Limited by Nigerian Breweries Plc in 1993 and also played a pivotal role in 2000 in the Rights Issue of N7 Billion Convertible Loan Stock and its subsequent conversion to Equities in 2003.
He is an apostle of due process and good corporate governance and has the pedigree that helps to champion the strategic direction of the Company.
